Electromagnetic Drive? Cool…

Emdrive

I was just browsing around the net today when I stumbled upon this interesting article about an electromagnetic drive or ‘Emdrive’, which uses microwave to convert electrical energy into thrust.  It seems to have been developed by a handful of scientist from various places around the world, and actually built in China.  Applications include having 41 day journeys to Mars, vehicle propulsion, and satellite applications.  I am skeptical on if this is fact or fiction, since with such a technological breakthrough, it is no where to be seem on the news or headlines.  It is definitely nothing of its kind, and I am curious when we will being to see this technology in action.

Here is the article from engadget: China takes the leap: Emdrive aka Infinite Improbability Drive now in development

Yes, the ‘Infinite Improbability Drive‘ is from Douglas Adams’ Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
